Why can I not purchase Power Wheels motors and/or gearboxes and install them myself?

Power Wheels policy prohibits the direct sales of many electrical parts for consumer installation. A motor gearbox assembly MUST be installed only by an Authorized Power Wheels Service Center. Other electrical parts such as wiring harnesses, switches and PC boards are also on this prohibited list.

Where is the Model number located?

The model number (as well as the production code) is located on a sticker generally close to where the battery is located.
